The SONOFF SenseGuard Presence Core 24G (SNZB-06P24) is a Zigbee presence sensor based on 24 GHz mmWave radar technology, designed to accurately detect whether people are present in a room. Unlike traditional PIR motion sensors, it can detect not only normal movement but also the smallest human micro-movements, such as breathing or posture changes, allowing it to detect presence even when someone is sitting or working motionless for a long time.
The 24 GHz radar technology provides a detection distance of up to 4 meters and a 110° detection angle. The detection area can be divided into seven separately configurable zones, each of which can be enabled or disabled. This allows the sensor to monitor only the relevant areas of a room while excluding zones where presence detection is not needed.
One of the device’s key innovations is calibratable interference filtering, called Detection Calibration. The sensor can learn and filter out fixed or repetitive environmental interference sources, such as fans, air conditioners, pipes, or other equipment. This significantly reduces false detections and increases system reliability.
Thanks to the built-in light sensor, ambient brightness can also be measured. This enables intelligent automations, such as turning on lights automatically only when someone is present and the room brightness drops below a preset level, for example near dusk.
The sensor uses Zigbee 3.0 communication, making it compatible with Home Assistant, SmartThings, Alexa, eWeLink, and other Zigbee-compatible systems. When using third-party Zigbee platforms, advanced settings can be configured via Bluetooth through the eWeLink app, as all settings are stored locally on the device.
The compact sensor supports multiple installation methods. It can be placed on a desk or shelf, mounted magnetically, or installed on a wall or ceiling using adhesive mounting. The adjustable sensor head allows the optimal detection angle to be set with the base, while an optional recessed ceiling frame enables discreet ceiling installation.
