The device operates on a single-phase 100–240 V AC electrical system and can transmit measurement data for circuits rated up to 16 A and 3840 W. It measures mains voltage, current, instantaneous power, and consumed energy. It does not include a switching relay, so it cannot switch the power supply of the connected circuit.
Bidirectional energy metering separately records energy drawn from the grid and energy transferred in the opposite direction. In addition to monitoring electrical loads, the module can therefore also be used to track the production of plug-in balcony solar systems and smaller photovoltaic installations. The eWeLink system supports hourly, daily, and monthly reports, energy history, data export, and electricity cost calculations based on fixed or time-based tariffs.
The MINI-ZB1GP uses Zigbee 3.0 communication. As a permanently mains-powered Zigbee router, it can also forward the data traffic of other Zigbee devices within the mesh network. It also features a Turbo Mode that can significantly increase communication range. With a SONOFF Zigbee gateway, it can be integrated into the eWeLink system, while a compatible coordinator enables integration with Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, ZHA, SmartThings, and other platforms. Available measurement data and settings depend on the gateway and integration being used.
About SONOFF
SONOFF manufactures smart home devices, relay modules, energy meters, wall switches, Zigbee sensors, gateways, and control panels. Its product range includes devices using Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and Matter communication.
The manufacturer’s devices are primarily designed for the eWeLink platform. Many SONOFF Zigbee products can also be used with Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, ZHA, SmartThings, and other compatible Zigbee systems.

Smart Home Protocols and Platform Compatibility
- Zigbee 3.0: Uses IEEE 802.15.4-based wireless communication. A compatible Zigbee gateway or coordinator is required.
- Zigbee router: The module acts as a network router and forwards data traffic from other Zigbee devices within the mesh network.
- eWeLink: With a compatible SONOFF Zigbee gateway, measurement data, energy history, tariff settings, notifications, and automation conditions are available.
- Home Assistant: Can be connected to a local smart home system through Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA integration.
- Zigbee2MQTT: Supports voltage, current, power, and energy data, bidirectional energy counters, Turbo Mode, and multiple configuration parameters.
- MQTT integration: When Zigbee2MQTT is used, measurement data can be transmitted as MQTT messages. The MQTT connection is managed by the Zigbee2MQTT system.
- ZHA: Can be connected to a Home Assistant ZHA network. Some special settings may require a separate manufacturer-provided device handler or script.
- Samsung SmartThings: Can be used with a compatible SmartThings or Aeotec Zigbee hub. The range of displayed data depends on the installed device handler.
- Amazon Alexa: Can be connected to a compatible Alexa device with a built-in Zigbee hub. Available measurement functions depend on Alexa platform support.
- Google Home: Can be integrated through cloud account linking when used with a SONOFF Zigbee gateway and eWeLink account.
- Matter Bridge: Can be exposed to Matter systems through a compatible SONOFF Matter Bridge. Available functions depend on the bridge and target platform.
- Apple Home: Can be integrated into Apple Home through a compatible Matter Bridge.
- Local operation: When used with Home Assistant and a local Zigbee coordinator, measurement data can be processed without an internet connection.
Smart Features
