The SONOFF MINI ONE PM (MINI-ZB1GSP) is a Zigbee 3.0 flush-mounted 1-gang smart relay with energy monitoring. The device operates on a single-phase 100–240 V AC electrical system and can switch resistive loads with a rated current of up to 16 A. Both live and neutral conductors are required for operation.

The relay measures mains voltage, current, instantaneous power, and consumed energy. Bidirectional metering records energy drawn from the grid separately from energy transferred in the opposite direction, making it suitable not only for monitoring electrical loads but also, for example, for tracking the production of plug-in balcony solar systems. The two parallel L Out terminals belong to the same relay output and therefore cannot be controlled as separate circuits.

The switch input can be used with both toggle switches and push buttons. Selectable pulse, edge, and follow modes allow operation to be adapted to the existing wall switch. Detached Relay Mode separates the external switch input from the relay output, allowing wall switch events to be used in automations without interrupting the power supply of devices such as smart bulbs.

The MINI-ZB1GSP uses Zigbee 3.0 communication and, as a mains-powered Zigbee router, forwards the data traffic of other devices within the mesh network. In Turbo Mode, it operates with increased radio transmission power. The built-in Bluetooth connection is used for pairing and for the local eWeLink Proximity Mode connection. A phone can connect directly to the device when the Zigbee gateway is unavailable or the network connection is unstable. At present, at least the phone must have some form of internet access or mobile data subscription to use this function.

Smart Home Protocols and Platform Compatibility


  • Zigbee 3.0: Uses IEEE 802.15.4-based wireless communication. A compatible Zigbee gateway or coordinator is required for normal remote operation.
  • Zigbee router: The mains-powered relay forwards data traffic from other Zigbee end devices. The manufacturer specifies a communication range of up to 180 m in open areas in default mode and up to 250 m in Turbo Mode.
  • Bluetooth: Used for pairing and direct nearby eWeLink access. It does not operate as a general Bluetooth smart home protocol and does not replace the Zigbee coordinator for full system integration.
  • Proximity Mode: A phone can connect directly to the relay over Bluetooth if the Zigbee gateway is offline or the network connection is unstable. Basic control and configuration functions are available in this mode.
  • eWeLink: With a compatible SONOFF Zigbee gateway, switching, energy monitoring, energy history, tariff management, scheduling, electrical protection, scenes, and device sharing are available.
  • Recommended SONOFF gateways: ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro, and iHost.
  • SONOFF USB coordinators: Can be used with Home Assistant or eWeLink CUBE systems, including ZBDongle-P, ZBDongle-E, Dongle Plus MG24, Dongle Lite MG21, and Dongle Max.
  • Home Assistant: Can be connected through Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA integration. Relay control, measurement data, and several configuration functions can be used in local automations.
  • Zigbee2MQTT: Supports relay state, power-on state, external switch type, Detached Relay Mode, inching, Turbo Mode, voltage, current, power, and energy data, as well as multiple protection and diagnostic states.
  • MQTT integration: When Zigbee2MQTT is used, relay state and measurement data can be managed through MQTT messages. The MQTT connection is created by Zigbee2MQTT, not by the relay itself.
  • ZHA: Can be used in a Home Assistant ZHA network. The SONOFF-provided minizb1gsp.py script may be required for the full manufacturer feature set.
  • Zigbee binding: A direct connection can be created with a compatible Zigbee device. According to the manufacturer’s example, an SNZB-01M button can directly control the relay after the initial Home Assistant setup without continuous involvement from the automation hub.
  • Samsung SmartThings: Can be used with the Aeotec Smart Home Hub V3. On/off control is supported, while displaying energy data requires importing a separate SmartThings script.
  • Amazon Alexa: Can be paired directly with Echo Plus 2nd Gen, Echo 4th Gen, and Echo Show 2nd Gen devices with built-in Zigbee hubs. Alexa supports on/off control, but energy monitoring data is not available.
  • Google Home: Can be controlled through cloud account linking when connected to a SONOFF Zigbee gateway and eWeLink account.
  • IFTTT: Relay switching and state changes can be used in IFTTT automations by linking the eWeLink account.
  • Matter Bridge: Can be exposed to Matter platforms through a ZBBridge-U, iHost, or eWeLink CUBE system using a SONOFF Zigbee coordinator.
  • Apple Home: Can be used through a compatible SONOFF Matter Bridge. The MINI-ZB1GSP is not a Matter device by itself.
  • Local operation: When used with Home Assistant and a local Zigbee coordinator, relay control and current measurement data can be managed without an internet connection.



Smart Features


  • Remote on/off control: The relay output can be controlled from the eWeLink app or the connected smart home system.
  • Current state monitoring: The system displays whether the relay is on or off.
  • Energy history: eWeLink stores up to one year of energy data in the cloud and displays it in hourly, daily, or monthly views.
