The SONOFF Dongle Plus CC2674P10 (Dongle-PP10) is a USB Zigbee 3.0 and Thread radio adapter designed primarily for Home Assistant and other open-source smart home systems. When connected to a computer, mini PC, or other host device, it can be used as a Zigbee coordinator, Zigbee router, or OpenThread RCP adapter, depending on the installed firmware.
The Dongle-PP10 is equipped with a Texas Instruments CC2674P10 system-on-chip, 1024 kB of flash memory, 256 kB of RAM, and a 48 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor. The radio provides transmit power of up to +20 dBm, while the external antenna has a nominal gain of 3 dBi. The manufacturer specifies a communication range of up to 200 metres under line-of-sight conditions.
The device is supplied from the factory with Z-Stack-based Zigbee coordinator firmware, allowing it to be used as a Zigbee adapter for systems such as Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA. Using the SONOFF Dongle Flasher, Zigbee router or OpenThread RCP firmware can also be installed. In the latter case, it can serve as the radio interface for a system running an OpenThread Border Router service for Thread and Matter over Thread devices. Because Zigbee and Thread use the same radio, the Dongle-PP10 can perform only the radio role corresponding to the currently installed firmware at any given time.
The Dongle-PP10 is an upgraded version of the previous ZBDongle-P. Instead of the CC2652P, it uses the newer CC2674P10 system-on-chip, with significantly increased flash memory and RAM capacity, a more powerful processor, and native Thread support. The enclosure has also been made more compact, making the adapter easier to use alongside other USB ports.
