The Aeotec MultiSensor 7 motion sensor is perfect for more than just an intelligent security system. Temperature sensor
From motorised curtains and windows to fans and thermostats, there are many ways you can use Z-Wave to keep the temperature of a room perfect. MultiSensor 7 provides the intelligence to do just that. It features an incremental temperature sensor capable of accurately measuring between -10~50°C (14 to 122°F) and reporting temperature changes back to a smart home gateway.
Light sensor
Automated lighting is only as smart as the system that powers it. With MultiSensor 7’s real-time digital light sensor measuring the level of light in a room, your home control system can intelligently maintain its ambiance. From opening and closing curtains to setting lights to the perfect level, whether day or night, MultiSensor 7 is the smarts behind smart lighting.
Humidity sensor
Spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens can be too humid, while some environments may not be humid enough. MultiSensor 7 offers incremental monitoring of humidity ranging from 0% to 100%, allowing for the intelligent automation of fans, motorised windows, dehumidifiers, and humidifiers. This sensor monitors your home at a very granular level to help create a perfect environment.
Vibration sensor
MultiSensor 7 doesn’t just measure its environment; it also measures itself. It includes a seismic sensor capable of detecting and reporting event-based vibrations. These slight changes can protect MultiSensor 7—it knows if an intruder is tampering with it or if the sensor has accidentally moved from its installation spot. It can also record subtle seismic activity within your home.
UV sensor
Managing an environment perfectly means understanding it fully. MultiSensor 7 accurately measures ultraviolet light—the type that causes everything from furniture bleaching to eye damage. Measured in line with the World Health Organisation UV Index, MultiSensor 7 helps manage UV levels in a room through curtains, shades, and lighting, ensuring the protection of both health and property.
Perfect power
Perfect battery life is essential for every installation. MultiSensor 7 can run on mains power by connecting it to your home electricity via the provided USB cable. In this advanced mode, it provides real-time temperature, humidity, and light readings. Alternatively, it can run on batteries for up to 2 years.
