This is a special no neutral relay, that is working with a single live wire, switching one gang of a 230V circuit. You may install it inside wall sockets to work together with a toggle switch or you can use it without a switch, control lights or other low performance electronic devices. By using this WiFi-equipped smart relay you may close or break any circuits, thus turn ON / OFF any devices connected to the relay.
The max. 10A performance smart relay is remotely controllable via Internet and iOS (Apple) or Android smartphone App, and you can set scheduled turning ON / OFF. Also, you may share the control in the App with your family. It is compatible with Alexa and Google voice controls.
Like every other SmartWise device the 10A SmartWise 230V smarthome device with 10A maximal performance is compatible with the eWeLink mobile app. You can install it behind existing wall switches into the wall socket so you can keep the existing switches just upgrade them and make them smart. You can control lights with it or other devices and you can follow up their status wether they are in ON/OFF mode. This product is suitable to make old devices or switches into smart devices. It is compatible with every traditional switch because it works only with live wire without neutral.
It is compatible with traditional toggle switches (but NOT with momentary switches), so you may use it to upgrade tradational toggle switches to remotely control a smart switch, with timer and scheduling features, auto-off feature etc..
Supports momentary switching (also called as inching) mode, e.g. to close the electric circuit for 0,5-1 sec only.
Even though it has no plastic box or case around it, it comes with a transparent cover over the chip that insulates and protects it from dust, moisture and other physical effects.
Please note that live-wire-only relays may require a capacitor connected at the electric device / light for its proper operation, wired between the Live and Neutral wire.
This product comes with such a capacitor.
